There is Nothing More Important Than Your Liberty. It's My Job to Defend it.
I have been a criminal defense lawyer my entire career. I have never been a prosecutor, nor have I ever wanted to be one. I have spent my entire adult life fighting for my clients' liberty.
For the past 28 years I have defended people accused of crimes ranging from murder to drug conspiracies to DWI.
I understand that when a man or woman is accused of a crime it is a terrifying experience. I understand clients do not want to go to trial. Clients, accused of a crime want the case dismissed and they want to get back to their lives. ln every case, As the first step, I look to see if I can find a way to get the case dismissed. If I find a way to get the case dismissed, then I work hard to obtain that result.
I follow a simple philosophy. If a man is not guilty, he should plead not guilty. So, If a client comes to me and he is not guilty, I will tell him to plead NOT GUILTY. If the state or federal government will not dismiss, I will prepare for trial. No innocent man or woman should ever plead guilty.
All lawyers take a solemn oath to support the Constitution. I take my oath very seriously. In addition to my work in the courts, I believe that I must speak out for Liberty, in the public arena.
I proudly served as President of The Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association in 2006-2007. During my term as President we placed a replica of the Declaration of Independence, the Consitution and Bill of Rights in the foyer of the courthouse. We fought the HPD Crime Lab and took judges to task who ignored their oaths. Currently I serve on the Board of Directors of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. I continue to be an outspoken critic of those who would rob us of our liberty.
When you contact my law office, I am the lawyer who will represent you. I believe preparation is the key to building a strong defense. In preparing a case I get into the details. I often work with a private investigator. When going to trial, I put together the strongest possible team to fight for your liberty. Hard work and preparation are always the key to victory.
