I have been a criminal defense lawyer my entire career. I have never been a prosecutor, nor have I ever wanted to be one. For the past 27 years I have defended people accused of crimes ranging from murder to drug conspiracies to DWI. I proudly served as president of The Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association in 2006-2007 and remain actively involved in the Texas legal community. During my term as president we placed a replica of the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights in the foyer of the courthouse. These documents serve as a daily reminder of the rights we must all fight to protect.
When you contact my law office, I am the lawyer who will represent you; you won’t be passed off to a young, inexperienced attorney like some other law firms. I believe preparation is the key to building a strong defense. In preparing a case I get into the details. I often work with a private investigator. When going to trial, I believe in a team defense.
